Lets talk about the difference between training and exercising? Both have two different outcomes.
Exercise is a physical activity performed for the effect it produces today, the right now. Each workout is performed for the purpose of producing a stress that satisfies the immediate needs of the exerciser.
Training is the physical activity preformed for the purpose of satisfying a long-term performance goal, and is therefore about the process instead of the workouts themselves.
So lets look at this from a gym scenario. if you go to the gym 3-4 times a week and you partake in gym classes, a different one each time you’re exercising. You are partaking in exercising.
Now on the other hand if you come into the gym 4 times a week and you’re doing the same program everyday or have a 2-day split with the same reps and set ranges, than you’re training.
Now, I’m not saying one is better then the other for that sake, I’m just explaining the differences, so you are more aware on why you’re not achieving the results you want at the gym. However, I know which I would prefer and that works best of my habits and goals, just be aware that any movement/exercise that targets muscles randomly without specificity will not generate enough stress to produce a specific physical adaptation. 🙌
